For major projects and proposals, well-facilitated community engagement is necessary to allow for genuine problem solving. Often a Planning Commission meeting or public hearing is too late in the process to get or give substantial public input. To resolve complex planning and development issues, public involvement has to be addressed in a more comprehensive manner. It is important the public knows it's voice is being heard.
